Welcome to the Detroit Center of Self-Realization Fellowship!

This Center is composed of members and friends of Self-Realization Fellowship, a worldwide non-profit religious organization with headquarters in Los Angeles, California. Self-Realization Fellowship was founded in 1920 by Paramahansa Yogananda for the purpose of disseminating Kriya Yoga, a definite scientific technique for attaining direct personal experience of God.

Through its worldwide service and teachings, Self-Realization Fellowship seeks to awaken greater understanding of the harmony underlying all true religions, and a fuller expression in this world of the love that unites all people when they realize their oneness in God.

If you are new to SRF, we suggest reading Paramahansa Yogananda's “Autobiography of a Yogi”. Copies of this spiritual classic are available at bookstores worldwide and also at our Center's bookroom.

Weekly Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons are available directly from SRF headquarters in Los Angeles. The Lessons offer Paramahansa Yogananda's comprehensive guide on all aspects of life, and present the Techniques of Energization, Concentration, and Meditation that form the foundation for Kriya Yoga practice.
